The Achievers specialise in vintage dance music. They light-up concerts with a setlist packed full of driving Rhythm & Blues, jump-blues, boogie-woogie, gospel and a hint of southern soul - music that inspires even the most casual of dancers. Armed with original songs and a wealth of reworked R&B barnstormers, cherry-picked from the 40s, 50s and 60s, The Achievers are dedicated to get you moving and feeling good. Their influences include Little Willie John, Wynonie Harris, the Blind Boys of Alabama, James Carr, Magic Sam and the output of long defunct labels such as Goldwax and Hi! Records. And after 100s of live performances they are proving their ability to bring energy, musicianship and camaraderie to every gig to create truly memorable shows. Between tours, The Achievers retreat to craft new material and painstakingly source a fresh collection of obscure blues and gospel songs, to produce their entirely (un)faithful renditions - driven throughout by their passion for classic songwriting and stagecraft
